The Amsterdam Trip - Day 3
11:28 AM
Day 3
The Avocado Show
Yes, again.
No shame.
This time: Avocado stuffed with hummus and a bagel.
Need I say more?
The 'Light' Shopping Spree
We may or may not have popped into a couple of stores.
Kiehls, Lush, some cute clothing shop that had the most amazing patches for my green cargo jacket,...
Did we need all the things we bought?
Probably not.
Did we love all of it, though?
Duh.
The Bookshop
Waterstones.
A glorious bookshop in Amsterdam filled with English books.
I swear I only bought one book.
But then...
An hour or so later...
I went back in and bought two more.
Don't take me to bookstores.
Cause I will never leave empty handed.
The Dante Kitchen and Bar
We didn't want lunch.
Not really.
We just wanted some cake and coffee.
So that's what we did.
Coffee and a slice of apple tart to share.
Just lovely.
The Photo's
After 'lunch' we spent the rest of the day walking around aimlessly, taking pictures of each other cause that's what friends do.
The Hotdog
I can't remember what this little place was called.
It was on the same square as the I Amsterdam sign is, just across from the Van Gogh Museum.
Anyway, they had vegetarian hotdogs.
Go get one.
The Return
We slowly made our way back to the hostel, where we had been allowed to leave our luggage for the day.
We had a cup of tea.
Chatted a bit.
Reluctantly left to take the metro one last time.
Once at Central Station we realized that it was already a lot later than we had expected and we might have had to speed walk all the way to our train.
The train that would take us all the way back to reality.
This was by far the most chilled day we'd had but we wouldn't have had it any other way.
I think the key to having a good holiday is this:
Just go with it.
Don't over plan things.
Don't feel like you have to do this or that.
Do what you want.
Eat when you and what you want.
Just go with it.
